History
In August, 1986 Neal and John Rotteveel started Rotteveel Orchards, processed 75,000 lbs. and marketed the crop in Holland. Domestic and export demand increased and they began purchasing almonds from local growers to fulfill orders. In 1997 they upgraded huller/sheller line to speed production, and in 1998 they installed electronic sorters to increase production speed and product quality. Today, Rotteveel Orchards package 2.5 - 4 million lbs. depending on crop size.

Neal Rotteveel
Neal Rotteveel immigrated from Holland in 1962 and has lived in Dixon since 1963. He is the Founding Father of Soccer in Dixon and Rotteveel field is named in recognition of his efforts. He organized the 1st International Game between the Sacramento Senators v. China Team. In 1979 he organized the 1st under 18 Youth Soccer Team to travel to Holland and continued to support this program in 1986, 1997, and 2000.

John Rotteveel
John Rotteveel attended all Dixon schools and worked in almond orchards part-time. He was selected for North U-18 Soccer All-Stars and played in Canada, as well as CIF Section Soccer Dixon High School Champions in 1979. He attended UCDavis and played UCD Soccer and graduated in 1986. John started Rotteveel Orchards in 1986 with his father. He is married with four children and coaches youth basketball and soccer teams.
